Video released of Journey: Bridging Cultures Through Music, ACE project 2021

Many Worlds in One Place is the culmination of the Orchestra of St John’s Connections Project, Journey: Bridging Cultures Through Music, which brought together young refugees and asylum seekers at the Oxford Spires Academy, and their year-12 colleagues, with OSJ musicians and other visual artists.

The piece summarises the workshops’ explorations into their cultural and musical heritages and their experiences of leaving their home countries and moving to the UK. The students’ artwork in the film was created in response to hearing the piece for the first time.
