Dvorak New World symphony in Dorchester Abbey – Orchestra of St John's | Taking classical music out into the community

Dvorak New World symphony in Dorchester Abbey

Dear John Lubbock

I had the great good fortune to take three friends to last Saturday’s performance in the Abbey [8 October]. We are all pretty musical, & we’re absolutely overwhelmed by the performances which you brought to us [Rachmaninov Paganini Variations, Dvorak New World symphony, Stanford Motets].  All different but each beautifully executed with a clarity, freshness & sheer brilliance which left all four of us gripped with joy.

Thank you for assembling such star quality for all of us in such an accessible & beautiful setting. The next time we meet I will express my gratitude face to face.
