ACE Covid-19 grant award – Orchestra of St John's | Taking classical music out into the community

ACE Covid-19 grant award

We are proud to announce that Orchestra of St John’s has been awarded a grant in the current ACE Covid-19 funding round.

This money will allow us to kickstart these new projects:

‘Serenading’ patients and staff  in mental health wards in Oxford, in partnership with the Oxfordshire Mental Health Trust.

Deliver interactive Music for Autism concerts to children with special educational needs – remotely/online, into schools if open or to families at home.

A new ‘social distancing’ educational and cultural project ‘We Are Water’ using digital technologies to provide work to freelancers, local grassroots musicians and scientists & provide  learning and engagement for children and audience members online. This project majors on musical sounds as an effective means of communicating complex real world issues to children and audiences who are engaged in the creative processes.

We will continue to deliver quality cultural projects through a series of bespoke online soirees for our audience members, donors & sponsors.
