Social Media and Marketing role

Oxford based Orchestra of St John’s is looking for a creative digital-marketeer to promote our concerts, brand and community work.

Part of a small friendly team, you will build audiences and digital interactions through the effective use of social media and email marketing.

We are looking for someone with excellent copy-writing skills, who can build upon the cheerful, light-hearted tone of voice which we have developed over the last two years.

Working remotely, this flexible freelance role is around four hours per week on average, possibly more during concert season. The role includes:

• Using Mailchimp to produce effective marketing emails promoting concerts and events.
• Copywriting for the website, emails, social media and leaflets.
• Creating regular, engaging content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
• Researching information about repertoire and performers.
• Researching and generating photos or video content.
• Enthusiasm for classical music and our community programmes.
• Knowledge of the Oxford arts scene an advantage.
• Ideally to be able to attend concerts occasionally.
• Ideally to be handy with a camera.
• Experience of Google Ads an advantage.
Rate of pay: £15 per hour.
