Opera Gala – Young stars of the future, 7pm at SJE Arts

May 28, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Operatic overtures, arias and duets.

Indulge in the power and passion of opera, with timeless classics and lesser-known gems all performed by twelve rising stars.

Featuring the Act I finale from Puccini’s La Boheme, and the Seguidilla from Bizet’s Carmen, this evocative evening also includes music from Mozart, Handel, Gounod, Delibes and many more with the full orchestral backing of the Orchestra of St John’s. We open with Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus Overture.

OSJ is committed to supporting young musicians and nurturing their talent. Our Young Artists scheme provides the opportunity for young musicians to flourish as soloists or conductors in the early stages of their careers, irrespective of background.
