Another chance to hear Jan Schmolck’s (leader of OSJ and section principal at the Royal Opera House) glorious performance of Mendelssohn’s much-loved Violin Concerto, before taking a musical trip from the Highlands to Italy with two more of Mendelssohn’s most evocative works. And OSJ Voices will delight us with Three Motets
Virtuoso violinist Jan Schmolck performs Mendelssohn’s iconic violin concerto. This thrilling and emotional piece is accompanied by Mendelssohn’s symphonic poem, the Hebrides Overture (Fingal’s Cave), and his Symphony No. 5 ‘Italian’.
