Karlowicz ‘Serenade op 2 for Strings’
Florence Price ‘Adoration’
Tchaikovsky ‘String Serenade’
Strings of Orchestra of St John’s
John Lubbock conductor
This is the first of four socially distanced chamber concerts at Dorchester Abbey during the autumn. Each orchestral concert features an unknown masterpiece discovered by John Lubbock in the lockdown, and a well known favourite.
We will follow strict procedures. Seating will be in every second pew (or choir stall) with a maximum of 100 allowed in the Abbey. To allow as many as possible to attend, we are offering two identical concerts of about one hour with no interval – starting at 6pm and 7.45 pm. Please select the ticket for the time you prefer.
We will also live-stream the concerts on our YouTube channel free of charge, but we ask for donations.
Free tickets are available for Key workers. Please contact email@example.com.
Tickets available from link below. Tickets purchased on the night can be paid for by card. Cash is accepted but we can’t offer change.
When you purchase tickets, we politely ask that you add a voluntary donation, equal to the price of a ticket, to support our work in the community, with refugees and with children in Special Educational Needs schools
