Rachel comes to arts administration from a background in composition and music academia. She has worked at the Sage Gateshead, for the BBC Proms, Oxford Philharmonic, and for City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

A keen amateur violinist and violist, Rachel studied music at Oxford University then composition at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
