Simon worked in printing and publishing, then in database systems, before moving into arts administration. He was Development Manager at St Edwards School, Oxford then at Oxford Philomusica, before joining OSJ. He organises and plays bassoon in many local music groups.

Rachel Lockwood Social Media and Marketing
Rachel comes to arts administration from a background in composition and music academia. She has worked at the Sage Gateshead, for the BBC Proms, Oxford Philharmonic, and for City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
A keen amateur violinist and violist, Rachel studied music at Oxford University then composition at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She has mainly worked in orchestral management alongside some film-making and media work. She is very much looking forward to broadening her experience with the Orchestra of St John’s, and being a part of their next phase of development.
Helen Duncan Fundraising
Helen is an experienced freelance grant seeker and an Associate at Wootton George Consulting.
She spent 12 years as Trusts and Foundations Manager at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, raising funds for a broad portfolio of projects, including a major capital appeal. She has experience of working with a wide range of grant-making bodies including the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England. Prior to that Helen worked in marketing and communications roles in classical music and at Oxford Brookes University where she was part of a small editorial team writing content for prospectuses and other promotional materials.
