DESCRIPTION:An inclusive evening of music-making with Derek Paravicini and friends featuring young musicians across the spectrum of neurodiversity. With guest appearances from Hannah Davey (soprano) and Poppy McGhee (violin). \nDerek Paravicini has been blind from birth and has autism and severe learning difficulties\, yet he can play almost any piece by ear in any key and style and is one of the most extraordinary pianists and musicians of his generation. Explore his YouTube channel to find out more about Derek’s incredible journey and musical abilities\, and to hear his truly unique stylistic interpretations. \nHannah Davey enjoys a busy and varied career as both a classical and jazz singer.\nIn her life as a classical soprano\, Hannah’s professional engagements take her across the country performing song recitals\, oratorio and orchestral concerts.\nAs a jazz vocalist\, Hannah sings with the Derek Paravicini Quartet and as part of a piano duo creating stunning realisations of the great standards. \n16-year-old Poppy McGhee is a music scholar at Marlborough College\, leads the Somerset County Youth Orchestra\, and hopes to study and perform professionally. She achieved Grade 8 violin age 8\, ATCL performance diploma age 12\, and was a recipient of Future Talent Award 2014\, 2015 and 2020.\nPoppy has raised thousands of pounds by playing her violin to help blind and autistic children. \nTickets are free (but please do get them so we know how many are coming!).\nHowever\, we encourage you to make a Voluntary Donation to our 2022 programme of concerts for children in SEN schools.

Tickets are available direct from SJE Arts. \nTo allow as many as possible to attend\, we are  offering two concerts of about 1 hour with no interval – one starting at 6pm\, the other starting at 8 pm. \nTickets £15 – available direct from SJE Arts.

The rules are that we must record ‘first name\, second name and telephone number for one member of each group’** \nWhen you purchase tickets\, we politely ask that you add a voluntary donation\, equal to the price of a ticket\, to support our work in the community and with children in Special Educational Needs schools.
