DESCRIPTION:Marking Cayenna Ponchione-Bailey’s final concert as OSJ’s Associate Conductor\, join us for a powerful evening uniting music and the moving image. \nReflecting some of the key questions of our time\, including the environment and social equality\, this multisensory performance will present live OSJ’s newest commissions for string orchestra and film\, Many Worlds in One Place\, Earth Flow and Reaching Water. Alongside will sit gorgeous music by some of the silver screen’s finest composers including Shostakovich and John Williams\, as well as Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel\, accompanied by film and live artwork created in response to the music. \nIn this collaborative concert\, OSJ will perform alongside talented Welsh violinist Siobhan Clough\, Oxford-based alternative pop duo pecq and visual artist\, Hugo Max from the Oxford Ruskin School of Art.
