The Musicians
Jan Peter Schmolck - Violin
Jan is a much sought after chamber musician who has performed in over twenty countries. As well as becoming Leader of the Orchestra of St John's earlier this year, he is a member of the Angell Trio, the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Ensemble and regular guest violinist with the Schubert Ensemble of London. With these ensembles Jan has undertaken regular tours to the States, playing in many of the major cities, including New York's Carnegie Hall, as well as touring throughout Europe and Japan. In the UK, Jan's chamber music performances have included visits to the Cheltenham, Bath, Lichfield and Belfast Festivals as well as regular concerts at the South Bank Centre and Wigmore Hall. |
